We have high aspirations for every child at Roby Park. No child should be left behind. We believe it’s not about where you start, but a love of learning, high‑quality teaching and targeted support that unlocks success for all.

How we use the funding

We use Pupil Premium to provide high‑impact, evidence‑informed support, tailored to our pupils’ needs. This includes:

• High‑quality teaching & targeted academic support
  Small‑group and 1:1 tuition, precise feedback, reading intervention, vocabulary development, and scaffolded learning.
• Wider strategies
  Attendance and punctuality support, pastoral and wellbeing provision, behaviour and social skills development, enrichment and cultural capital experiences, and support with access to learning (e.g., resources, trips).
• Parental engagement
  Workshops and sessions to help families support learning at home, plus opportunities for parents/carers to develop their own skills in English and Maths.

 

Measuring impact

We rigorously monitor the difference our work is making:

• Half‑termly assessment cycles and progress tracking for all year groups
• Pupil Progress Review meetings each half term with the Headteacher, SENDCo, class teachers and TAs leading interventions
• Funding is re‑targeted based on what’s working and where need is greatest
• Some support may also benefit pupils not eligible for Pupil Premium where needs are similar and progress can be accelerated
• Governance: Pupil Premium spending and impact are a standing item at the Resources Committee

Eligibility & how to apply

If you think your child may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), please apply – even if your child currently receives Universal Infant Free School Meals in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2. Successful applications unlock additional Pupil Premium funding which supports your child’s learning.
