7Reception have made a great start with their Rocket Phonics books this week. They have been very motivated and enjoyed using their new learning to match objects with the same initial sound. #RPEYFS #RPPhonics
8HelpPicture had us all thinking about the many people that keep us safe. Family, friends, teachers, police officers and many more. Reception thought of the many ways these people help us to feel safe. #RPEYFS
7Our home learning this week was to go on an Autumn walk. The children shared with the class what they found on their walk. They found lots of different natural materials! Well done, Nursery 👏🏻🍂 🍃 #RPEYFS
7Today we have been creating some spooky pizzas. We practised our counting 1-5 using spiders. The children had great fun! 🕷️🕸️ #RPMaths #RPEYFS
6We have also been comparing different sized pumpkins! We found a big, medium and small pumpkin. We talked about the different sizes and put them in order. Well done, Nursery! 🎃 #RPMaths #RPEYFS

7We have really enjoyed our pumpkin fine motor skills activity this week, we had to be very careful using the hammer. It took a lot of concentration but Reception did a great job and showed lots of resilience and motivation. #RPEYFS
5What a fantastic first swimming lesson Reception had. We loved exploring the water, floating and finding spaces by using our arms and legs. We are already so excited for next week.
6We had a special @HelpPicture this week. We looked at how poppies have changed over time. Children think it’s a great idea that poppies will now be plastic free. We also enjoyed talking about which materials would be best for poppies last longer.

5Today we arrived at school to find a pet star! We read the story ‘My Pet Star’ and thought that we need to look after our new friend to help him get his glow back! We used the clues that we found to help him! #RPEnglish

1Reception have loved our @LiteracyCounts1 text Star in the Jar after having a surprise visitor. It inspired children to get creative! We have also enjoyed exploring the text using our story friends. #RPEnglish

2Another great swimming session with @ELITE_Swim_UK It is fantastic to see the children continuing to grow in confidence in the water. Children are exploring their floating skills as well as practising kicking their legs in the water. Brilliant! @CAHKnowsley#RPPE
3Another great session with @ELITE_Swim_UK children have been working on front and back stroke, removing some floats as children grow in confidence. They had lots of fun putting their faces in the water and blowing bubbles
4What a fantastic night for our EYFS Star Gazing Night Walk We spotted lots of stars in the sky, the moon and even Jupiter! The children loved exploring forest school in the dark and we discussed what we found. We ended the night with a lovely hot chocolate #RPEnrichment

1Nursery had a fantastic last swimming session with @ELITE_Swim_UK They enjoyed practising their floating skills and blowing bubbles They ended the session with lots of fun games! It has been great to see Nursery grow in confidence over the past 4 weeks. Well done #RPPE
2Wow! Reception have grown in confidence so much thanks to @ELITE_Swim_UK Today they have been using their arms to swim forwards and lying on their backs and practising back stroke. They can blow bubbles and put their faces in the water. #RPPE
1Mrs Clause will be visiting Roby Park on Tuesday 12th December. Children can enjoy Christmas songs, Christmas story and write their Christmas wishes to go on the tree with Mrs Clause. Please make payment of £2.50 on Parent Pay by Tuesday 12th. Thank you #RPEnrichment

3We had a fantastic forest school session with @Littlefoothq We went on a hunt to see who could find the most snakes and then had great fun using a technique to stay warm by cosying up underneath a shelter! We ended the day playing a game of predator and prey! #RPEnrichment
1Thanks to the hard work & generosity of Cllr Walsh, who has secured us additional funding, we are able to have the swimming pool on site for an extra week! This means all children will be able to enjoy additional swimming lessons next week #RPPE #RPMakingMemories

1Thanks to Cllr Walsh, who secured us funding, we are able to have the swimming pool for an extra week! The children were beyond happy to find out that they had another day of swimming! Nursery have grown in confidence over the past 5 weeks thanks to @ELITE_Swim_UK
1On Friday, we were joined by Elfie the Elf to mark the beginning of December. He delivered a special letter to us from Father Christmas! #RPEnrichment

Last week we explored our topic of ‘Light and Dark’ We used our dark tent to find out which objects could be seen in the dark. We then discussed space and created a collaborative night sky with brightly coloured planets #RPEYFS #RPUnderstandingTheWorld
1For our final session, children practiced putting their heads under water to blow bubbles. They had to hold on to the side and use their legs to push away, building strength and confidence in the water.
1Tomorrow is Christmas Jumper Day. Children can wear their festive jumpers/clothes to school. All donations go to supporting the work of Save the Children
