Year 3 worked amazingly in English today

Year 3 worked amazingly in English today writing their own kenning poems about the Iron Man. Metal cruncher, night time hunter, nightmare maker!

Recreating scenes from the book ‘Old Bear’?

We worked together to recreate scenes from the book ‘Old Bear’, using what we have already read to show how the characters may be feeling and what they would be doing. We even rescued Old Bear from high up in the classroom and were very excited!?

In English, Year 4 have been learning about newspaper reports. We learnt about how important research is for journalists. Due to this, the children worked collaboratively to research different marine mammals in preparation of writing their own newspaper report ??️ #RPEnglish

In English Y2 we’re given an illustration from their vehicle text and had lots of fun creating freeze frames imagining that they were in the picture. They then used clues from the book to predict what the story could be about. #readysteadywrite

Nursery Went On a Hunt…

What a fantastic night for our EYFS Star Gazing Night Walk  We spotted lots of stars in the sky, the moon and even Jupiter! The children loved exploring forest school in the dark and we discussed what we found. We ended the night with a lovely hot chocolate  #RPEnrichment

Million Steps Challenge Competition Winners

As part of the Million Steps Challenge, @cashforkidsliv teamed up with publisher Simon & Schuster to offer all participating primary schools the chance to win a Library Pack of 20 books. Following the end of the challenge all schools that signed up were put into a draw, and…we’re thrilled to let you know that our school is a winner!  Books are on their way to us and will go into our reading shed for our children to enjoy

Book Exchange for Parents & Carers

Do you have books gathering dust that you could give a new lease of life to? We would love your pre-loved books for others to enjoy.

This week, we are going to be setting up a book exchange for adults, in our office area. Parents & carers are welcome to come and help themselves to a book to enjoy and all we ask is when you’re finished, pop it back for someone else to enjoy.

Over the past week Nursery have been sorting the leaves they collected by colour. Nursery explored each leaf to see what colours they could see. Together we created a ‘Big Draw’ using the Leaf Man book to help identify each animal the Leaf Man passed when travelling.
